Artificial Turf Installation in West Jordan, Utah

Our home market. City code explicitly allows artificial turf, front yard and park strip included, and we know the newer Copper Hills and Copper Rim communities as well as any installer in the valley. Starting at $8.50 per square foot installed.

Built for West Jordan

Why West Jordan Is an Easy Yes on Turf

Not every Salt Lake Valley city makes this simple. West Jordan does.

01

Explicitly Legal, Park Strip Included

West Jordan's residential landscaping code names artificial turf as an allowed park strip material, alongside gravel and pavers, while natural sod is the one thing that strip cannot use. Salt Lake City proper restricts turf in front yards and park strips. West Jordan does not.

02

New Construction, Fresh Fill

Copper Rim and the newest Copper Hills phases are recently built, often still on their first summer of builder-grade sod when we get the call. New fill and young sod struggle in the heat before real roots take hold. Turf skips that establishment period entirely.

03

We Know the Neighborhood

Our office is a few minutes from Jordan Landing and Bingham Creek Regional Park. We are not driving in from another market to quote this job, we install here every week.

Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, explicitly. West Jordan's residential landscaping ordinance permits artificial turf on the lot, and specifically allows it in the park strip between the sidewalk and the street, alongside gravel, pavers and groundcover. Natural sod is the one thing the park strip ordinance does not allow. That is a more turf-friendly code than several neighboring Salt Lake Valley cities.

Mostly it means newer construction. Copper Rim and the newer Copper Hills phases are recent Pulte-built communities near Bingham Creek Regional Park and Jordan Landing, often still on their first year of builder-grade sod when a homeowner starts asking about turf. Fresh fill and young sod struggle through their first Utah summer, so turf skips the establishment period most new builds are still fighting through.

Depends on the community. West Jordan's own city code does not require it, but Copper Rim and other newer planned communities carry their own HOA design review on top of the city code. We build to pass that review and can prepare drawings for a submission if your board asks for them.
